Mr. Edwards is a Managing Director at Match Point Partners. He is an expert in delivering management and consulting solutions to the U.S. federal government and companies that are doing business with government agencies. Mr. Edwards has a distinguished career serving the U.S as a naval fighter pilot, an astronaut, and working on the staff of the U.S. Joint Chief of Staff. Mr. Edwards has also held management positions in the private sector, leading business units at HP and Accenture.

Mr. Edwards serves as a technology and business consultant to Governmental Defense Agencies and regularly performs flight test work for the Navy. As a naval aviator he flew the Grumman F-14 Tomcat operationally. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun) and the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. He has logged several thousand flight hours in 75 types of aircraft, 650 aircraft carrier arrested landings and dozens of combat missions in the Cold War and Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

He was selected as a NASA pilot astronaut in 1994, in the 15th group of astronauts. He piloted the last American crewmember to the Russian Mir space station and set world records for flying the greatest mass in earth orbit and for the record number of humans in space simultaneously. He has flown the closest flying maneuvers ever attempted around an orbiting space station in the history of manned space flight in the orbiter Endeavour.

Joe F. Edwards completed his undergraduate education in Aerospace Engineering at the United States Naval Academy. He also holds Masters of Science degrees in Systems Engineering, Engineering Flight Test and Industrial Management.
