Mr. Holtzman joined Match Point as a Managing Director in 2017. He has over three decades of experience helping companies develop and implement competitive strategies and achieve their strategic market goals. As founder and Senior Managing Partner of Longevity Venture Advisors LLC, he works with innovative entrepreneurs, venture investors, and companies to successfully leverage opportunities in the Longevity Economy and healthcare.

Jody was previously Senior Vice President of Market Innovation at AARP where he conceived and built a program to find ways for AARP to spark innovation in the market that benefits people over 50. In this role, he envisioned and developed the concept and market category of the $7.6 trillion Longevity Economy; developed, proposed, and won support for AARP’s venture capital investment strategy as part of the organization’s larger asset diversification strategy; created and built the Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch franchise which attracted over 1,000 startup companies resulting in 70 finalists, half of which raised over $190 million in venture investment, with six exits; envisioned and launched the Longevity Network, www.longevitynetwork.org, with United Healthcare, a destination for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry; and, produced Health Innovation Frontiers and Caregiving Innovation Frontiers which were the first market and revenue forecasts in digital health of relevance to older people. Prior to creating the Market Innovation initiative, Jody led AARP’s Research and Strategic Analysis department, and created AARP’s first competitive intelligence group.

Before joining AARP, Jody was in senior leadership roles in several strategy consulting firms, including Strategy Dynamics Group, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and FutureBrand. Jody is a frequent speaker on the opportunities and challenges presented by the demographic wave. He was recognized in 2017 as a Top 50 Influencer in Aging by Next Avenue and his work has been published in Venture Capital Review, the Journal of Business Strategy, Competitive Intelligence Magazine, The Competitive Intelligence Anthology, and Making Cents Out of Knowledge Management. His work has been recognized in the Financial Times, NY Times, CNBC, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune, Forbes, Marketplace, PBS News Hour, VentureBeat, Information Week, and other media. He has a graduate degree in international political economy from the University of Chicago – and was raised on rock and roll.
